DAMA DAMA has undoubtedly been an unusual phenomenon in the field of so-called classical music. Critics keep mentioning it as one of the best ensembles „which Czech music can offer to other countries". This opinion is proven by the amount of success achieved by the ensemble during its existence from 1990. Apart from hundreds of concerts at prestigious European music festivals and the release more than 10 CDs there is also the victory in the European Competition of Musical College Percussion Ensembles in Enschede, Netherlands, at the very beginning of the ensemble's existence, award of the Czech Music Fund Prize, Czech Music Board Prize, victory at the Young Stage Competition and last but not least the victory of the ensemble leader Dan Dlouhý in composition competitions Generace and Musica Nova.
