Hana Kostelecká studied singing at the Brno Conservatoire and the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. Her graduation role was Lady Billows (Albert Herring). She attended master classes with Eva Randová and won the second place in the International Leoš Janáček Competition in Brno. At present she continues her studies with Natalia Romanová.

In 2000 she was the cover for Raina Kabaiwanska in the role of Kostelnička (Jenůfa) in Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. Since the same year she has been a soloist with the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc. Her repertoire includes Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), The Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Giulietta (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Princess (The Devil and Kate), Mařenka (The Bartered Bride), Santuzza (Cavalleria rusticana), Foreign Princess (Rusalka), Fenena (Nabucco), Mother Marie (Les dialogues des Carmélites), Hedvika (The Devil's Wall) and Julia (The Jakobin).

Hana Kostelecká also interprets singspiel roles, such as Czipra (Der Zigeunerbaron) and Rosalinda (The Bat). She regularly cooperates with the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra and Janáček´s Philharmonic Ostrava.
